Best Foreign Soldier
Photo Contest

Ok troops, time for the newest Unofficial Fan Page photo contest. This time, as you have noticed from the title, we'll be going with best foreign soldier ANY ERA. (any non-U.S. soldier... even if you're from another country and U.S. are foreigners :) This will be a full fledged customizing and kitbashing contest. By customizing, I mean parts you've scratch built, uniforms you've weathered and face painting, etc. And of course, kitbashing means taking parts from other various figures and putting them all together. Do a little bit of both for this one, and you'll do better. Then after you've completed your best foreign soldier entry, just take a photo of him from the front (and back if necessary) and posing however you like (even just standing there is fine) and send it in.

Now let's go over the rules, first the Ultimate Soldier Rules, since we are an Ultimate Soldier fan site.
  1. If you are using a non Ultimate Soldier figure and none of his uniform and gear are made by 21st Century Toys, then he must be carrying a 21st Century Toys Ultimate Soldier made weapon.

  2. If you intend to do a foreign soldier that 21st Century Toys has not made a weapon for, for instance a Roman Gladiator, then the figure you use must be an Ultimate Soldier figure.

Now for the rest of the rules:
  1. Since this is a pure modeling contest, no computer generated enhancements will be allowed. I know sometimes these are tricky to spot, but if I or the judges spot one, you'll be automatically disqualified.

  2. Photos must be JPG/JPEG file format

  3. If your photo is a horizontal shot, it must be at least 640 pixels wide (larger is good though).

  4. If your photo is a vertical shot, it must be at least 500 pixels wide (larger is good though).

  5. Only one entry per person.

  6. NO BLURRY PHOTOS PLEASE.

  7. NO X-rated material please.

All entries must be received by Saturday, June 20th, 2009. Please submit your photos via email to GreenLeader here at this address greenldr@bossig.com. Make SURE you put the words "Photo Contest Entry" in the subject line of your email. If you need to snail mail (regular postal mail) your photo, please contact me for instructions. Winners will be announced Sunday, June 28th, 2009.

Prize information coming soon.

I know there's a lot of great modelers out there, because I've seen quite a bit of your work over the years posted here and many other places. Hopefully we'll have a good turnout for this one because I know there's a lot of great looking foreign soldiers out there to be seen. Good luck!
