This is a kitbash of a Scottish Highlander in British service, Tunisia/North
Africa circa 1941.
Rather than a complete canvas Kilt wrap, he wears a thin leather (probably local goat skin) front cover to protect his tartan. He carries a local (Arab) curved dagger/scimitar on his belt, a trinket he picked up at a local bazaar. This set includes a couple shots front and back, as well as a couple "action" as he goes over the wall. Two different Vickers HMG's are presented as well, one from the late 20's and the other more modern version from the 30's/early 40's. This is the M60 gunner head sculpt, and I think it is perfect for an Arabian adventure. |
Very very cool work again Graeylin! Another great looking Scotsman here all the way around. I loved all the pieces you used from other sets and all the cool customizing you've done on this one. A particularly inspiring piece for North Africa collectors like myself. Special thanks for sending this cool soldier in and sharing it with us. -- GL |
