| Here are a few pics of a new bash. It is my first attempt at using pastels, both oil and chalk, to weather a figure. He is set up as an "Operation Iraqi Freedom" troop. I used photos from various sources to put together his kit, but most notably, Milpics.com and the Time Life book "21 Days to Baghdad". He is the AA figure from the TUS Vietnam Memorial set with various Bbi, TUS, G.I. Joe, SOTW and DML stuff. There are also a few homemade items there, like the bedroll, the bungees holding the roll, and the bag of Lays brand sour cream and onion chips. I saw a pic on line (I'm sorry but I didn't save it) of a marine in a firefight clutching a bag of Funions in one hand and his M-16 in the other and I just had to do something with the image. |
