| Here are some pics of a U.S Marine of the USS Texas of the ships detachment during D-Day June 6th. The 84 man detachment was ready to go ashore when hearing the Rangers were taking heavy causulties. The order was passed down to the Marines to stand down, political reasons.The marines were used as sharpshooters on ships to fire at floating mines. |
