CUSTOM ANCIENT WARRIORS
By: Steve Wood

Here is my Hospitalier knight circa 1230 with a reference photo. Next, a Hospitalier circa 1140, with a reference. Both knights were handmade, including the swords which were made of brass coated with solder and styrene plastic. The shields were made of styrene and the helmet of the 1230 knight was from a Brit para helmet. The helmet of the 1140 knight is made from a silly putty egg and styrene. Needless to say the armor was of butchers gloves.

This last fig is a samurai. The breastplate and swords came from a Max Steel Samurai. The remaining armor is styrene. The "clothing" is handmade. My attempt at a helmet (kabuto) did'nt turn out well.

Outstanding work here Steve. You guys know I'm really into that Ancient Warrior stuff! And I can't imagine anyone like me not wanting to have those great looking figures in their collection. Brilliant work all around buddy! Special thanks for sending all these cool soldiers in and sharing them with us. -- GL
