MODEL T TRUCK PROJECT
By: Checkmate King 2

I've been playing with this project off and on for a few months now. It's slowly coming together. This will be a Model T Truck for my Gangster (Luca) to run boot-leg whiskey with.

I've been using a lot of supplies that go out in our trash at work. The heavy duty wheels and tires are from an old Hasbro M8 Scout Car ? I think the steering wheel is too. I'm going to use the headlights from a couple of old Indian Motorcycles and turn signals for rear tail lights. I'll probably add mud flaps too. I made two frontends. One is a heavy duty truck frontend, the other is a street rod frontend with a dropped front axle.

The plastic I used to make the "C" cab is from work too. I borrowed a plastic welder from the place I use to work and welded the cab together. Actually, the welder runs too hot for this type of plastic and it burned and scorched the pieces a lot. I used Apoxie Sculpet to fill in the seams.

The frontend gets screwed to the wooden frame and the mesh is cut to size and covers the screws when painted black. I'll probably use soup cans for gas tanks on both sides (just for future picture reasons).

I used a rear end pumpkin off my TUS Super Jeep and a dowel rod for a drive shaft (not shown).

I used more of the plastic from work to make a leaf spring and will add more leaves to it later. I also will use this plastic to shape fenders and running boards on both sides.

I've got a 1:6 Ford 428 cu.in. engine I hope to use in a future street rod model. I'm thinking of a "T" Bucket project. Something to go along with the flamed Willys Coupe.

I definitely can't wait to see this project completed old buddy. I always wanted to make one of those myself. It looks great so far. Be sure to keep us updated on this one. Special thanks for sending this cool update in and sharing it with us. -- GL
