The Flatboat is a scale 30'x13'. I'll also attach an artists drawing of an early flatboat on the Ohio River so you can see where I get my references from.
Since these pictures were taken, I have aquired the roof, built a rope bed, am making a grinding wheel (for sharpening blades and such), a yoke for the plow horse, a spinning wheel, a primative chopping block table, stools, a butter churn and anything else I can think of. The trouble is, I might be running out of (scale) room aboard the boat. LOL !!!! I have tons of other accessories that I have collected or some of the guys from the site have helped me aquire. I got out some of the animals, figures and accessories just to use them to gauge the size of each area. |
