I got inspired by VTKLNKY's work , and starting making my own
stuff out of cardboard . This first pic is a " Rough
Draft " of a PANTHER G . With the earlier and wider turret .
The first one is done in cardboard , so that I have a template to use when I do her in ABS, or in sheet PVC later on . She turned out pretty good IMHO even though she's not completely accurate . But she'll do for Government Work ! :-) The road wheels and track links are by the late great PA / AWC Company |

This next pic is of a JADGPANTHER, and the reason that I chose the JADGPANTHER is that it shares the same lower hull as the PANTHERS . Which comes in handy when you don't have a whole
lot of extra road wheels , and track links !
It's like having a " Heavy Metal " version of a " Convertible " :-) , if you're into doing Dioramas ! One day you're out there hunting tanks , and the next day you can do Infantry Support ! I did her first , a couple of weeks before I did the PANTHER . And she was also originally made of cardboard . This pic is of Version II which is made of wood . I did the second one in wood as practice . Since the sheets of ABS and sheet PVC are NOT cheap, and I want to get it right the FIRST time when I switch to the plastic . |
