A tale of 2 Vickers, well actually 3. Many of you know Hasbro came out with a 1/6 Vickers MG a couple of years ago. I thought and still think it was a great piece with alot of potential. I customised one a little as one of my first 1/6 projects. Detailed it a little,repainted the proper green and added a fabric cover for the water jacket. Made an ammo can and water can. A year or 2 later I picked up an Action Man Vickers. Not as nice or as detailed but with a nice fluted water jacket and early muzzle gland. Went in the parts box. Last month at the Sac.show picked up a loose Hasbro Vickers for 2 bucks. Sidetracked briefly from the Type 95 and grafted the Action Man water jacket to the newly acquired Hasbro piece. Now how do I slip these 2 very OT projects past old GL's steely eyed gaze? I know! I'll use my TUS Aussies as gunners. |
