PROJECTS
By: Checkmate King 2

I don't know if I told anyone or not but when I went out to do pictures of my tipis and Indians, I accidently left my original Mountain Man and customized horse at the creek where I shot the pictures. When I discovered it missing, I went back to the location and saw that it was gone. Mad at myself, I decided I had to have a Mountain man in my collection.

I used a Side Show General Lee figure and did new buckskins and hat. I decided since snow was on the ground, this Mountain Man should have on his heavy coat.

After doing the Model "T" Truck project I decided I wanted a two wheeled cart to use for Westerns, Civil War or even WWII dioramas, in the future.

I also upgraded my Arab & Camel. I don't know if anyone has ever seen these two together. I added a new head dress to the figure and used elastic gold, gift wrapping cord for his head dress accent. I also decorated the camel with fringe, tassels and bangles. Then I found a broken resin camel from a large nativity set and cut off the saddle and adapted it to my camel. I also cut the head off the camel and sectioned the neck to lower the head to look a little more normal.

An awesome bunch of projects here old buddy. Glad you got a new Mountain Man put together, he looks great! Great looking mule cart too, I think I've told you before but I always wanted to do an Arab on a camel too, so this is probably my favorite project in this set. You did a terrific job on it. Special thanks for sending these in and sharing them with us. - GL
