I thought you might like to see how the Weapons Carrier is coming along. I'm keeping the rear fenders on. I know it's not accurate...but I don't care. I like the looks of the fender flares. This plastic is cut and just laid on. Nothing is glued yet. The factory tailgate will work fine when the pickup bed is put together. I still need to make the benchseat tops and backs for the bed
These will be the end of the pictures of this project until Spring hits and my background foliage blooms. I know, I still have to work on the inside flaps of the rear cover and paint the front bumper and re-install the winch but that will all be done when I can get this outside. It's not perfect but I like it. Along with my Stuart, Sherman, WSC, Jeep and hitching my 37mm to the back of this Weapons Carrier, I can make a decent looking convoy...all by myself. Maybe even do a Red Ball Express thing. It's really a pretty easy project...but it helps if you're not a stickler for accurate details. LOL !!! I'm just creating the illusion here. |
