I had always been disappointed in the last TUS set that came out in my AO. The Ranger in
Afghanistan was, in my eyes, rather sloppy on its presentation. It had so many possibilities and could
have been such an exciting figure, so I had been wanting to do an updated one, using the intel that I
have now. I am fortunate to have contact with quite a few people that are in Indian country and I have
learned a lot about equipment preferences and what modifications that the guys do to their stuff.
Since I feel that it is the little, often inexpensive things, that make figures stand out, I have never been able to figure out why they don't include them with the figures. I made some maps and some recon photos for him to carry in his chest rig, as well as some chem lights that are still in the package (the open one is BBi). I added some 100MPH tape with Para-chord to his magazine as a mag pull. Some other modifications and paint to his weapon, as well as a good 3 point sling. This guy looks like he has been there a while. |
