I've been working on the tank, trying to fix the gear-box myself. One of my men
wanted to give me a hand with some of the minor maintenance, so I let him. He's not a 21st
Century soldier, because all of those guys are in my bar, getting hammered. No wonder, they
have to stand guard in the town, in 2 degree weather for three weeks tomorrow. The rest of
the photos are the abandoned scout car and the Germans, putting the gas cap back on the
Kubelwagon. I detailed the dashboard of the Kubelwagon and cut the gas cap off of the
vehicle and melted a small chain from the g-cap to the gas tank. The gas cans on the scout
car are empty and now since the tank is broke, that gas can be used in my jeep. We, the
Americans, have to keep the extra gas a secret from the Germans...
Gratefully, Lt. Hogancamp,AVG.
