THE SECRET LIFE
By: Hogie309

Scott Merry traveled to the Post Office in the back of the Jeep. His girlfriend had traveled by Steam ship from England to the United States, and New York Harbor. Maj. Greaylin and Pvt. C. Ferguson offered to go to the Post Office with Cpl. Merry. . .

The worst snow storm in the history of Belgium hit with a ferociousness like no other. Marwencol got ten, 1/6th, feet of snow !! It snowed for almost a week straight ! It would stop at times though. . .

The troops of Marwencol took advantage of the momentary break in the snow storm to dig out the anti tank gun, and some of the troops admired the statue that the Giant of Marwencol installed for them, where the fountain once stood. . .

The ME-110 sped along on a path leading to a Belgian rail yard, that he was supposed to strafe and bomb. The Spitfire Mk 1/2 came out of the clouds like a lightning bolt. Lt. Bodie's index finger tickling the trigger of his Spit's guns, sent bursts of lead and molten hot Phosphorescent tracer rounds into the armor of the now crippled 110.

The 110's Navigator/ gunner was shot to shreds, as the wounded bomber/ fighter limped through the clouds to gain altitude. . .

The ME-110 jettisoned it's bombs somewhere over the Belgian countryside, not knowing or caring where they had landed, hoping that this would give him the altitude that his aircraft needed.

Only two of the three bombs he dropped exploded . . .

The Kraut had to bail because he couldn't bring his ship out of the dive that it went into. And at that moment, just by accident, Lt. Bodie sped off right into the snow storm. He had to wind up bailing out as well but,... some of us in town saw him bail :)

Respectfully Yours sir, Cpt. Hogancamp
