| "I found the Maxim machine gun in a small gift shop on a street in China next to the Chinese naval museum in Qingdao China. I passed it up for several weeks and decided to get it the last weekend I was there. I was able to haggle the store clerk down to eleven dollars (which is great since I am as American looking--read rich--as they come to Chinese merchants). It is actually a lighter of all things. I think it might be a copy of the armory Maxim and am waiting to get my hands on one to see how it compares. This gun might be a little on the big side for scale. The last picture is a little International Relation humor and is how the machine gun sits presently on my desk." |
