| Company C 1/75th Ranger Regiment was tasked to secure a landing area for the transports. The airfield was at Manzarriyeh, Iran and take the airfield. The airfield which was 35 miles south of Teheran, once the field was secure, Rangers were to hold it while C-141s would land. Desert One was aborted C 1/75 never left Egypt, the 12 man road watch team composed mostly of Ranger returned with the Delta operators |
