Cpt. Chairborne and Lt. Oddbod stood around my P-40 inspecting it, as I sat on the starboard wing, awaiting their approval. :) I figured since Bill's Lightning and Bert's Spitfire were shot out from under them, and they were both dandy pilots, I'd offer to split up flying the defensive missions above Marwencol with the two of them : and they agreed :)
We would all take turns flying the craft above and around Marwencol, so we wouldn't have that thing with the bombs falling all over our town, by those dream-killing Nazis. . . Respectfully Yours sir, Cpt. M. E. Hogancamp |
