A ROUGH LANDING
By: Panzercommander

All of the sudden I saw a lone German soldier pop out of the woods and walk opposite my direction down the road. I hadn't seen anyone else like I said, and I really needed a gun, so I took a chance and went for him."

Summers: "I remembered I stashed a knife in my dispatch case. It really came in handy - I didn't want to make noise with the .45."

Summers: "I jumped up from the side of the road and ran for him."

Summers: "I grabbed his head with my left hand and covered his mouth while I slit his throat, pulling him down."

Summers: "I grabbed his Schmeisser..."

Summers: "...and walked off coolly. I ducked back into woods for cover, trying to figure out where I was on the map when I heard you two walking up."

Summers: "Now - I spotted a farm house on the other side of the woods. It looks like it's occupied too. We need to check it out."
Evans: [Excitedly] "Yes sir!"

Summers: "C'mon - let's go!"

To Be Continued...

It's great to see some new work from you old friend! A really great story so far, I really liked how you did the flashback sequence in black and white and all the rest of it in color. I'll definitely be looking forward to the next one, that's for sure. Special thanks for sending this cool first part in and sharing it with us Panzercommander. - Gl
