DANIELLE
By: Hogie309

Ta-pocketa, ta-pocketa, ta-pocketa, was the sound of Lt. Merry's R/R-Merlin PV 12 driven Mk II Spitfire, as he was heading back to base after dropping his payload on Nazi factories : in Germany.

He thought about his girl back home in Leicestershire, England. . . he thought about the last time that he saw her, before he went away to flight school.

Suddenly, 'ol Scotty notices a Nazi troop transport on a roadway below, but he's all out of bombs ! He remembered the thing that Danielle gave to him as they parted ways. The thing he brought on every flight with him, just in case. . . .

Without cause or warning, Lt. Merry's prop and spinner flew off at a phenomenal amount of rpm's (good thing I stand in back of, or in front of that spinning 'blade', and not next to it:) while in flight !!

- I was forced to think of something very quickly, for where the story would go next and what I'd do about the prop flying off : in mid filming -

. . . I was just ready to take off again after the mechanics fixed my ship, but Anna told me "not to hurry", because she "wants to thank me for drawing her portrait". Suddenly, we both hear a whistling sound and look up, and there, silently gliding out of the clouds for a landing, was a Spitfire !! I wondered why the pilot was gliding in for a landing, when I noticed that it had no propeller !!

The Airborne that were getting ready to come to Marwencol noticed the Spit's silent decent also. . .

Respectfully Yours sir, Cpt. Hogancamp, AVG
