The SSCC had our July meeting. There were 16 members in attendance. I was so busy I didn't get a chance to chat with everyone. I was getting the pictures and setting up some of my stuff. It's hot in Ohio.
Chuck & Doug came down for a visit from the Michigan Armored Division (MAD) and brought figures, display bases, a German Panther Tank and what looked to me to be German entrenched dio's and accessories, to show our members what they've been working on. Chuck also brought boxed figures to sell to our members. Hammer Six brought in his recently purchased taoWan SD.KFZ Armored Car and I put a couple of PanzerCommander's & Dr. Zorkon's figures around it. Then King Tiger brought in a Desimone T-34 (for a future project) and I stuck a couple of MadDogCPL's & PanzerCommander's Russian figures around it. I did a little Civil War setup to gauge how much space I'll need for an upcoming show in Ft. Thomas KY. in November, while Tim & Nancy & Paul brought in figures & cannon that they have been working on. Nancy brought the Ohio State football player. To say the least, there was a lot of activity going on at the meeting. Hammer Six discussed details for the upcoming show. Gun Shy has been working on club video feeds to be aired on SKYPE. Tim brought me a model of a MULE he had so I could use it to see details of the 1:6 version I want to make. Pointan bought a Hasbro 155mm & Power Team Tower set from Dr. Zorkon and the buying, selling, trading, giving away and sharing of information just went on for almost 4 hours. PanzerCommander also did an East German Border Guard and lots of reference material to read (and look at pictures) It was nice to see White Ghost, even if he wasn't able to bring anything to show. He visited with everybody and picked up his Club shirts & hat. I should have taken a shot of the members wearing their shirts and hats. Maybe next time. |
