WWII 101st Airborne

I started with the 21C 101 uni set on 21C fig ( same one in the 29th Infantry set and carded Airborne). The uni has been put through my dirt mixture. The helmet has as well and was sealed so it wouldn't rub off. The boots were repainted to look like well worn boots. I painted a 5 oclock shadow on the face. I also weathered the Thompson a little as well. I wanted this guy to look like he had seen some stuff and I think I got pretty close.

Desert Storm Trooper

I started this one with an original SAM. The uniform is the Soldiers Of The World choco chip pattern. This is the best looking choco chip pattern out there. You will notice that this guy is wearing a boonie in the same pattern. Can't get that item in the store. That was custom made for me by my good freind David Call aka Napalm In The Am. He does awesome work and I am glad I get to be his "test pilot"! The boots are 21C Jungle boots that have been repainted and the rest of the gear is typical 21C Modern webgear including a butpack, ammo pouches, Gas Mask carrier etc.

'Nam Infantry Squad

This is the start to my Nam infantry squad. I started with an original SAM. I gave him a slight 5 oclock shadow. The uniform has been grunged up along with the ammo bandolier. The boots are 21C jungle boots cut down and repainted. The helmet is a Hasbro M1 that I repainted to resemble the jungle cover. We gear has been repainted and weathered. The pictures from the rear didn't turn out but he is toting an ALICE pack with gear. I hope to get additional photos of this guy and some photos of my completed RTO and Grenadier.

This was a gift from my friend Scout / L9. I think he did an incredible job on this custom. First of all he started with a CC Joe and stuck an Alien vs Hicks head on it. He rubbed the lip color off as it was similar to the original deadhead Sams. The uniform is 21Century's tigers and the CAR15 and webgear is 21C as well. The boots are 21C Desert boots painted in Jungle Boot fashion. The hand grenades have 4mm jump rings and a single strand of wire for the pull.Very cool. Vinyl strips are super glued around the grenades and pouch to help hold them in place. He used the watch from the Hasbro Sniper and cut of the straps and attached ribbon , then attached it to the ring on the harness but this really doesn't show up in the photos. I just wish the photos did this fig justice...it is definitely cool. Thanks Scout!

Some very nice looking stuff here Groundpounder. That shot of the 'Nam grunt is too cool, I love it! Boy, you're getting to be quite the customizer now. All the little added details look great! Scout did an awesome job on that SEAL too. Special thanks for sending them in and sharing them with us soldier. Keep up that great work! -- GL
