A CRIME OF PASSION
By: TomCat

On this particular afternoon on TomCat Street life was proceeding about as it always does, in a sort of hinky-jinky, start and go fashion that life frequently takes.

A beautiful young lady skateboards down the street...

...watched by a pair of admiring fellows sharing a cup of coffee outside of Scooter's All-American bar before returning to their respective jobs.

Scooter on the right in the red Tee w/ flag and the City's Code enforcement officer in sweater who had stopped off to check code complience on the construction of Scooter's new bar.

Having made the sale of a very nice and very expensive wristwatch at the Pawn Shop, a young man stepped off the curb and raised a hand lettered cardboard sign saying "Anywhere but here". He'd had all he wanted of the older lover he'd been leeching off of and she was getting clingy. He hated that!

She knew where to look for him though and wasn't far behind as he stepped into the street. She was upset (with a capital U) at being jilted and had come to try to straighten out the problems (or so she had hoped). The argument started with accusations...

...followed by denials...
