The woman reacts in shock as she realizes her predicament...

...and the scene blurs as it all comes together on a collision course.

Confronted with the officer's weapon and demands, the woman becomes confused and docile as she drops her weapon to the street. After all, she was the injured party! Didn't the officer realize she had earned the right to revenge? Couldn't he see that she had been abused and neglected and BETRAYED?!

Down the street Scooter grabs his little girl and races for the safely to the indoors as the city code inspector's curiosity keeps him sitting foolishly in the line of fire. People do the most incredibly foolish things at the wrong times sometimes.

Arriving in front of the perpetrator, the cop issues his demands...

...and covers the suspect as his back-up races towards him calling for assistance and medical support.

To the oft repeated command to "Raise your hands and keep them in plain sight!"...
