Got a hankering for the 21st Fallschirmjager sets a few months
ago, and hunted down the Monte Cassino officer boxed set on eBay. I had long ago
sold off my originals in my last purge. Of course I can't leave well enough alone. The officer's belt, three cell Luftwaffe MP-40 pouch, and aux. belt loop are Blue Box Int. The map pouch, Luftwaffe Y-harness, P-08 Luger and holster, are Dragon. The rest is all original 21st C. This was their best Fallschirmjager set, in my opinion. The tropical duty shirt has actual junior officer shoulder boards, and an attempt at badges. The tropical pants are a nice period cut, and look nice with the 3rd pattern jump smock buttoned around them. The pipe in the mouth is the small touch that really sets the head sculpt off. As you can see, this set came with the corrected size tropical officer hat. |
| It's definitely good to see this set again, it was always one of my favs too. Of course, I liked everything 21st did, so I'm a little bit bias there :) I like all the new additions you've given him. Great to see some new stuff from you old buddy.
