MEMOIR - A CIA'S DIARY
PART 2

By: Exodious

A CIA's Memoir from within Afghanistan

Working within a "Safe House" our CIA agent looks over photos of troops and maps after a mission, logging them into his laptop.

December - 2001

It's been awhile since our team arrived in Afghanistan. Our mission to date has been successful. Our recon and target pinpointing has netted the destruction of bunkers, labs, compounds, vehicles, armor vehicles, storage facilities, and cave complexes. Our hardest fight in this war is separating the Taliban and Al Qaeda from the ordinary Afghan people. This war is parallel to that of the Vietnam conflict, in which our enemy blends into our surroundings.

We are still working from a "Safe House" and we work at all times of the night & day. Laser tagging our targets, we anxiously await for the bombs to take out the targets. We haven't slept much - maybe we're just too filled with adrenaline, we could go 24/7.

We know patience & silence makes the enemy nervous - a nervous enemy is loud, moves with out rational, and leaves a trail behind.

Until next time,
Covert-One

Another terrific installment here Exodious. Of course, your photos are always awesome buddy, but it's definitely your great storyline that keeps me glued to this great photo story. Outstanding work again all around buddy. Special thanks for sending this one in and sharing it with us. -- GL
