MOTHER RUSSIA'S PATRIOTIC FORCES
By: Boogieman

Here is my Gung-Ho figure doing his part for Uncle Joe. Face has been detailed. The flop cap is made of Sculpy and hand painted. Gear is a assortment of Hasbro and TUS with re-paints. His outfit is a re-dyed German dickie, standard Russian blouse and re-dyed German pants, plus some jackboots.

Here is my Rock-n-Roll figure with a face repaint. The gray-brown beard was inspired by a fellow in my hometown (tobacco juice really stains whiskers). The uniform is the result of experimentation with some Rit-Dye. Repainted helmet and gear.

Here is Grunt sporting his Eastern front duds. Dragon cap,TUS German Greatcoat (re-dyed) with unit patches added to collar, German trousers and jackboots and a Hasbro sweater re-dyed. He has a Moisin-Nagant (Cots) rifle and Ppsh slung across his back. I have given him a handmade leather belt.

I believe this is Hasbros Destro figure (DK). Anyhow he make a pretty good pissed-off Ivan figure. The helmet is a re-paint. The uniform is heavily weathered. The boots with wraps are Dragon. His gear consist of Hasbro holster and grenades,TUS belt and Japenese ammo pouch and a captured German sub-machine gun. He has a haversack slung across his back..

Sal is decked out in Hasbro's version of the Russian padded uniform. He has a Dragon cape roll, TUS boots from the Russian sets, and Boris's fur-cap.

What Russian unit would be complete without a "Mad-Russian" figure? 21st. hit it on the head with this headsculpt IMHO. I have done a re-paint on the head. I added some Swastikas to his helmet as if he is marking the Germans he has killed. Re-paint on gear and the rest is pretty standard TUS.

And finally a group shot of rough bunch. I hope you enjoyed them.

Wow! Outstanding work here all the way around Boogieman! This is the first time we've got a whole group of Russians around here, and I have to say I couldn't have hoped for any better! Every single one of these figures are just too cool. That Russian w/ the retooled SWAT Commander head is one brilliant piece of work. I think he might have to be my favorite, even though it was definitely a hard choice. Special thanks for sending all these great looking troops in and sharing them with us. Inspiring stuff! -- GL
