WHEN THE M5 ARRIVES...

There was nothing left to do but blow up MARWENCOL... our ammo had run out and we were down to
fixing bayonets, and it was either rushing them or Blow up the town.
Then, we saw the M-5!! We didn't hear it!, we saw it first!! It was moving but the motor wasn't running! I thought it was broke! Anyway, when the tank was close enough to town, Wendy, Colleen and the Tank Commander jumped into the tank and took out that 57mm. That means they pushed that Stuart 5 miles from my bar two miles away, all the way to the town!! On July 4th, 1943, we took back Marwencol with a lot of casualties including one of my brothers. Svetlana, my brother Mike, Dave, the Professor, Jennifer, Italo, Nick, Yahzee and Steve were all lost sir; Half of my troops. Now the Allies can advance sir through the Ardennes,and beyond.... |
