Customized G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero
By: Scarecrow

I've always been a big fan of the early 3 3/4" G.I Joe figures, and lately I've been making 1/6th versions of some of my favorites. These are just a few that I've been working on.

Firefly - Cobra Saboteur

I painted the headsculpt, made his bombs and detonators, and modified a French MAT-49 to look more like the submachine gun that came with the original figure.

Firefly's thigh rig and wrist detonators

Custom Firefly SMG

Breaker - Communications Officer
I'm a big fan of the early comics, so I just had to add his trademark bubblegum.

Footloose - Infantry Trooper
Very simple figure to bash. The trickiest part was getting the helmet scrim to look right.

Stalker - Ranger

Not as true to the original figure as most of my others, but I think he's still recognizable as Stalker.

Cherry - New Recruit

Here's a shot of Stalker, Dusty (MOS: Desert Trooper), and Cherry, a new recruit. Cherry isn't based on an actual figure; I just wanted to make a generic "greenshirt" to help fill in the ranks.

Some great looking RAH Joes old friend. Way back when I used to collect the comics, figures and watched the cartoon too :) and I think you've done a great job on all of the characters here. I really liked the new guy too, especially the headsculpt you chose, ;) Special thanks for sending these sharp projects in and sharing them with us, - GL
