CUSTOM HUMVEES
By: Andy Barnett

This picture is of a Humvee I bought from a friend who had cut it into pieces! It started out as a Arctic Camo turtleback. I chopped the Roof, windshield and doors to lower the roof line to get a more in scale look and fitted Jeep seats to the interior to regain the lost headroom. A nice hefty Bullbar has been fitted to the front. The back has been left open with a canvas cover to keep out the elements. The Vehicle was then sprayed in appropriate colours with weathering, including the clean sweep made by the wipers.

This picture shows all three of my Humvees. The Desert Camo one also came in pieces and was also an Arctic Camo turtleback which I customised slightly. The Troop carrier was actually a Troop carrier that had had the Windshield removed. I replaced this and added side mirrors and made a Gun mount for the .50 cal so that the roof could be kept on. The Deset Camo one is still not finished yet, more a 'work in progress'

Very nice work here Andy. You've made some great improvements to all three of those Humvees. You have some sharp looking troops filling them up too. Special thanks for sending these in and sharing them with all of us. -- GL
