It was raining for three days straight when Sarah and the supplies pulled into town. It was night time and
the troop's barracks weren't finished yet, so Anna and I gave the women our bed to use and the Captain and his
Sergeant slept in the spare bunks in the spare room. All of them were sick. Jacqueline stayed by her sister's
side, while Anna took care of Sarah. Savannah was just happy to be in a warm bed and finished with the journey to
Marwencol.
Meanwhile, I had slipped off the edge and pictured my town as a 1860's town. A time when things were
simpler, yet more difficult. I wanted a town that was peaceful, law-abiding, self sustaining. My brothers, Anna, and of
course the Texas girls, were all into the fashion of the 1800's, so it wasn't a problem to get them to go with my visions. I
pictured myself as an officer in the Civil War-era Cavalry. With limited resources I put together an outfit for myself.
Anna looked so cute in the outfit that she put together herself. In Russia she often read about the American
Frontier and the American Wild West, and she always dreamt of being a part of it. She told me that I look handsome in
my Civil War-era, Captain's uniform. It was like we were in a Western movie or something...
