EUROPEAN VILLAGE
By: BAR

Fallschirmjagers take a break during a lull of the Normandy campaign as they hang out at a Norman wall of a farmhouse near a French village several days after the allied landings.

Members of the 12th SS Panzer Division Hitlerjugend including a Tiger tank retreats, passing by a group of small business buildings in a Norman village days after the allied landings.

A machine gun crew of the 12th SS Hitlerjugend ready themselves for an allied attack up inside a battle scorned belltower of a church.

A view from the blown out Norman wall of the farmhouse shows a machine gun crew of the 12th SS Hitlerjugend passing by a two story building of the village. Its front upper wall also blown out. Note the divisional insignia at the back of the Schwimmwagen.

Man oh man, I sure would love to see that thing up close in person. You've done some amazing work here all the way around BAR. You definitely should be proud of that. It's just too cool! Hopefully we can convince you to send in a lot more photos of that great looking village. Special thanks for sending these in though and sharing them with all of us. -- GL
