I was in the middle of talking to Angel when a train hit me in the chest and I lost all of the air in my lungs and fell down.
When I opened my eyes I saw the sky, and then I saw Angel's face. She saw the bullet hole in my heart and thought it was the end for me. But when I started to move, Angel thought it was magic, or a trick, or planned. She saw me get hit, she saw me fall down, and when she came over to me, I wasn't breathing. I should be dead. But now, I was alive and moving. Anna always told me to be safe, and I love her, so I listen to her. Before Angel and I left Marwencol, Anna told me to wear my chest armor underneath my tunic; so I did. I love Anna, because she loves me and cares about me and I couldn't wait to get back to town and tell her that her love for me, saved my life. |
