CLUB PROJECTS
By: ECPA 1/6 (SSGG & Capt. Smitty)

We would like to share a few pictures of some of our works in progress. The first four are a Huey-hybrid. It is made mostly if heavy-duty cardboard. Capt Smitty is working on the rotor blades, which will be approximately 4 feet in diameter when completed. SSG G is working on the landing gear. Instead of skids, it will have wheels. The helicopter will seat a six man team plus door gunners, pilot, and copilot. The Quonset hut is made from a cardboard 55 gallon drum. It measures 15" from floor to ceiling. The outer shell is made from 1 ft square plastic corrugated tile hot glued to the drum. As you can see they both need a lot of work. We thought we'd share the pics of what we have so far.

Nice work so far guys! I have to say I really like that Quonset hut. I'd sure like to have a few of those for my troops. Special thanks for sending these cool projects in and sharing them with us. I can't wait to see them when you guys get these things finished. -- GL
