WWII DIORAMA
By: MarkV

I've been woking on a diorama for a Toy Train show that our local club will be setting up at again this year and I thought I would share some of the photos that I have took of it in my basement so far. One of the photos I took into Photoshop and tried my hand at adding some background photos to...not too bad for my second attempt at Photoshop. The building is mostly made out of 2inch foam insulation, the two block walls were created by using a soldiering iron to scribe in the block pattern on the foam. Both the 1st and 2nd floors are made from the same foam, only covered with small 2 inch strips of wood I cut from 2X4's on my tablesaw. I used some 1/4 inch thick wood boards that I bought at my local home improvement center to make the door, door frame, and window frame. All the wood was stained with a Minwax stain and the rest of the diorama I painted with an airbrush. -- MarkV
