THE FOUR MINUTE HOUR
PART 2

Amazingly, Jeremy hadn't been discovered even though the dead man had. This opened the window of opportunity on another target. His sights once again aligned. The countdown began in his head, "one..." the safety clicked off "two..." he did a final check of the sights, steam wisped away from his face like strands of lace, another reminder of the numbing cold...

"three.." the crack of the bullet was heard by this time, but it was to late for the slicked haired drug trafficker. His body fell limp.

He slumped backwards over the sniper's first bullet's resting place, his Chinese partner in crime. All cold blooded killers, surrounded by their own cold blood.

At long last the angels of mercy carried forth their metallic saviour on their shoulders to rescue the soldiers below.

"Here she comes James! Isn't she beautiful!" Hollered Dylan. James smiled and nodded, "I'll provide cover, while you climb, but climb fast, I'm running out of ammo!"

Dylan looked up and smiled like a child. He thought to himself, "I can't imagine a better life, even with all the danger, this was cut out for me"

Dylan climbed faster than he thought possible and gripped lovingly to the skid.
