To: Unit Leader Subject: Embassy Rescue The work your two boys did at the embassy was what we look for in every Green Beret. We were saddened to lose the embassy but with the help of your boys we did not leave any personnel behind. I am also sorry to say that the one soldier they did bring back may not make it through. It is not their fault if he should pass; it is the fault of the terrorist that attacked the facility. If we had more men like these two there wouldn't be very many terrorist left. I am sending a recommendation that these two receive the Silver Star, the team leader is also being reviewed for the Medal of Honor. Thank you, Chief of Staff of the Army |
