RESIN DISPLAY BASE
By: Graeylin

A year ago, at the Frank and Son's show in the LA area (kind of the replacement for Weekend of Heroes), one of the exhibitors was giving away this street scene. It was a three piece resin cast, unpainted: the door, the wall, and the street/base. Not everyone could take him up on the offer, cause this thing won't pack easily, but since I was driving, I could.

It sat around in my shop for a long while, until I finally got inspired to clean it, paint it, and do it up. It's a great piece of cast, beautiful detail to everything: the window frames, broken brick, holes in the wall and mudholes in the cobblestone street. It was a joy to paint up, and try to bring out all the details the artist put into the casting. I added a few items, a doorknob and plate, as well as some window glass and a few torn up curtains, but 98% of this is the resin caster's vision. I just had fun bringing it out.

Wow, that's very nicely done, I can see why you wanted to pick it up. A true piece of art, that's for sure and your paint job definitely throws it into the spectacular category. I'm really glad I got a chance to take a peek at this, without a doubt old friend. Special thanks for sending it in and sharing it with all of us. - GL
