Anzacs in a Turkish trench. Turkish positions were roofed with logs to turn them into a strong position. Note the different way of wearing the Australian slough hat.




Casuality - evacuation. Despite carrying his mate, the 'digger' retains his rifle and fixed bayonet.




Some terrain ws so rough it was impossible for strechers to be carried.
