CUSTOM M-8 SCOUT CAR
By: Buzz

This project idea came from a photo I saw in the book Panzer Colors II by Bruce Culver. The photo shows an M-8 Scout car captured by the Germans and repainted to use for a recon vehicle. I don't have a scanner sorry, but to alter the car's look they removed the fenders thus making it look very different from the way the Americans used it. Since we still don't have too much German armor around to mess with I thought why not capture one from the Americans. The color is base tan, oversprayed with brown, olive green. My first try at custom paint, the crosses are by me as well painted by hand...... Buzz

Excellent work here Buzz! Impressive project here from all angles. You've done a beautiful job on the camo paint scheme and the handpainted crosses and both of your crewmen are very sharp looking. One heck of a cool looking M-8 without a doubt. Special thanks for sending it in and sharing it with us. -- GL
