MODERN RUSSIAN SPETSNAZ PKM GUNNER
By: Firefox1435

Here's the latest and greatest kit bash Russian I thought I'd share with you guys. You've seen the custom PKM machine gun built from 21st Century's FN MAG, but here's the gunner to carry it. He is a member of Russia's Interior Ministry Spetsnaz (Special) troops Vityaz (Knights) detachment. The custom Partizan camouflage over suit was printed from Spoonflower.com as 12"x12" sample sheets, and hand sewn by a good friend of mine. The Maska helmet was custom made from a Hasbro helmet, with bits of styrene, paint, and a real rubber edge guard made from vacuum line. The custom Smersh rig with 100 round belt box pouches was made with pieces from Soldier Story, Toy Soldier, and buckles from Good Stuff To Go.

I opted not to paint or dye the pouches, as I like the contrast of the tan pouches with the green webbing. I've seen ref. photos of the pouches in both colors, so I thought I could let it slide. The body armor, and boots came from BBi's modern Russian Krechet figure. The goggles are from BBi's Chuck Morris SWAT figure, which I painted gray. I hope you and everyone enjoy checking this figure out!

Wow, another fantastic Russian from you here old buddy. Some super work! I love the hand sewn uniform. Special thanks for sending this awesome project in and sharing it with us. - GL
