| The battle for Hue City during the Tet Offensive of 1968, has always been interesting to me. While surfing eBay one night, I found a 1/35th two figure set called "Marines in Fight". I liked the scene so I thought I could do it in 1/6th, and put my own spin on it. This is a Marine M-60 team of G/2/5 (G Co. 2nd Battalion 5th Marines) moving down Tran Cao Van Street on Feb. 1st. Progress that day was measured in meters, as fighting in an urban area was something the Marines of Golf Co. had never done before. The fight for Hue was long and hard, but in the end the Marines had taken back the city. |
