RC VIETNAM LSSC
By: J. Nelson

Here are some pics of my custom built radio controlled LSSC. It was built for me by my friend Al Ayala who used roofing tin bought at the local hardware store for the hull and cockpit area. It cruises along the water powered by 2 computer printer motors, two 12 volt batteries that drive the homemade propellers.

The engine hatches both open to allow access to the motors, batteries, servos and r/c switches. It also has 4 LEDs on it, one yellow in front, one yellow in back, one red on port and one green on starboard. It is 4 foot long, 18 inches at the widest part and 7 inches deep, which makes it cumbersome to put in and take out of the water (but really worth it when you see it cut across the pond).

The weapons on my LSSC are one .50 cal machine gun, 4 M-60s, two on each side plus two more mounts by the front of the cockpit. I am still adding the finishing touches, but it is a real eyecatcher while it is patrolling the waters.
