LAST OF THE MACHO DE MONTES
PART VII
By: String

Situation: Macho Pana-Jungla guerillas in cooperation with Colombian leftist guerilla's have ambushed and left for dead a Military Police patrol near the Pana-Colombo border. One of the wounded MP's had managed to call in the incident before losing conscienceness. Rangers departing from Howard AFB have been dispatched to secure the site and extract the casualties before dusk.

Part VII - La Selva es Nuestra Aliada - The Hunt Begins

Rangers air assault in with Apache escorts.

SFC Keniston inspects the markings on a expended LAW found in the middle of the road. "Colombian Military markings, it must have been captured by FARC rebels".

Colonel Welch receives the status from the ambush site as the MEDIVAC arrives. "Sir, SGT. Keniston reports 3 American WIA and 1 Macho KIA.....they are moving the wounded to our location now".

Doc Johnson preps the last wounded MP for movement as SFC Keniston glares back up the road where he found the expended LAW.

"You're going to be O.K." Doc Johnson reassures the wounded MP as they move back up the hill.

"Last one inbound...lets load him and get the hell out of here".

"Hang in there buddy, we're almost there". Doc Johnson maintains pressure on the MP's stomach wound as they near the MEDIVAC.

As the MEDIVAC exits the AO, Colonel Welch scans the jungle valley separating Panama and Columbia . "Run to the jungla my friends". "The AC-130's will be on station within the hour and our hunt will begin".
To be continued...
