Back story---
After receiving new intelligence from the French underground regarding a newly discovered, top secret, German weapon research base, two C-47's loaded with paratroopers and gear were dispatched into the night to attack. What the troops didn't know was that the underground radio operator who sent the message begged for an immediate attack, stating that the base was about to produce a new super weapon that could end the war for Germany. They also didn't know that the message had been cut short by machine gun fire. Less then twenty four hours later they were on their way, unfortunately they encountered extremely heavy anti-aircraft fire in the area. The troopers were dropped safely, but several miles from their intended drop zone. |
| I noticed that too, i can't believe they went in without us, of course losing all our radio gear in the jump didn't help, Somethings coming guys! |
