Outside of town, a German machine gun team was getting all set up. We had just welcomed a new member to our group when all hell broke loose. John jumps, pushing Quennel out of harms way. Luc and the new Frenchman were killed, Louis came running from the tower but was cut down also. Gabriel stood firm, but he too soon fell. The rest of us just poured it on. Soon Petunia climbed up on to the roof and silenced the chaos. I asked "What now John?" Quennel ran to Luc's lifeless body. John stood and looked spooked. That's when Ian came over to John and informed him that Germans were on their way to Val Ville. There was no way we could stand through another attack. No way. - Capt. Steven "Skip" Voores |
