PATTON COMMAND JEEP
BASTOGNE/DECEMBER, 1944
By: Sgt. Rock

I had been researching the Patton Command Jeep for a couple of months with help from the following sources: "Patton" - The Movie, and a great deal of reference photos provided to me by the US Army Quartermaster Museum located at Fort Lee, Virginia. They have on exhibit one of the command jeeps used extensively by Patton during the later part of 1944 and the early part of 1945. I present to you this version of the Patton Command Jeep along with a follow-up jeep on a snow covered road leading towards the town of Bastogne, France. On both sides of the road flanking Patton are 5 members of his 3rd Army's 4th Armored Division. I would like to extend my thanks to Luther Hanson from the US Army Quartermaster Museum for his photos/ insights, to CK2 for his continued inspiration and finally to my wife and kids for their time and patience. Enjoy!
