DECEMBER 25TH, 1944

Kessler motions the young soldier to get down, then stands motionless and waits.
"It is only the wind Sergeant, mmmaybe the Nebelwerfer crews moving about? Pppllease can we go now Sergeant?'
"Hush now puppy, death is coming and you don't want him to hear you."

From out of the tree-line a lone American trooper emerges, looking half froze and half dead.
"Shoot him Sergeant, he does not even see us, shoot him! He is the enemy Sergeant"
"No Peter, he is only a weary man, like us he only wishes for the feel of warm sunlight and to be back home. "

The G.I. sees that he has been watched and raises his weapon, realizing the Germans had him 'dead-in-their-sights' he lowers his rifle and waves back.
"Merry Christmas Amerikan, Merry Christmas. Come Peter we should get back to our duties, today you were a soldier"

Alright guys, I know I'm no Mickey Spillane or Tom Clancy but I've had this story in my head for a long time, I hope you liked it. -- Boogieman out.

Nice work again Boogieman! You know me, I love those snow shots and you've taken some great ones for sure. Nice little storyline too! Keep up the great work buddy! Special thanks for sending these in and sharing them with us. -- GL
