JAPANESE INFANTRYMAN
By: BC Ries

Here is the latest addition to my Japanese Imperial Army Infantry Platoon. Most of his gear is from the 21st Japanese Army Infantry figure. He will be assigned to my #2 LMG/ Rifle Squad. Chris Sacash probabally sent me the Uniform. (Thanks Chris Sacash) I repainted the rifle and added a custom leather sling with brass fittings, modified the bayonet so it would mount onto the rifle, tied a net for the helmet, replaced the shiney ribbon or elastic with 3/32" cotton webbing wherever I found it, I removed the molded on webbing from the canteen and made the carrier and strap from cotton webbing. Boots are 21st German brown Infantry boots with the molded on laces sliced off and laces made from Venetian Blind cord tied in a pattern I saw in a WW2 era photo of Japanese soldiers.

Body is a modified DML Skinny from which I removed sections of the torso, legs and arms to shorten it. Headsculpt and glasses are DML. Haversack is BBI soaked in bleach to change the color. Leg Wraps are bias tape.

Always great to see more of your terrific Japanese figures my friend. A very nice looking figure here with some terrific modifications. Special thanks for sending him in and sharing him with us. - GL
