Hey everybody, finally finished up my 4-man
MAC-V-Recondo team. It's basically the classic 21st
C. uni set with the Newline Minis LBE. I let out the
pants, put buttons on all the pockets and then painted
them a better shade of green. I also put a leg pocket
and adding stiching on the boonie hats. Then put some
weight in the rucks.
Basically the fotos are in batches each show a bit of details on the pieces. I let out the pants by turning them inside out and triimmed them real good, then stitched the fabric and lastly ripped out the original stitches. Gives you about 3/8's extra--basically goes from slim cut to boot cut. Then put a couple of rolls in the cuffs. I actually started with some custom real leather Jungle Boots, but they didn't really work for me and side by side, the rubbers aren't bad. The hats are before and after shots. The original 21st C. boonies leave a little to be desired. So I stitched around the brims and added some green ribbon around the base. I found that letting a puppy slobber on them a little bit gives them a nice "50 Mission crush". I added some weight to the ammo pouches to give them a nice hang. |
