Believe it or not, I still go out and collect 21C/TUS whenever I get the chance, although it's becoming harder and harder to do so. Maybe it's the nostalgia, durability, and price point that makes it worthwhile ;) All the gear in the pics except the brown T-Shirt and Vest are 21C. Still looks great after 15 years!
This SSam is a 'sneak peak' of my upcoming 10 man team. This Soldier is going to be the CO of my SF team. The HS is a dead ringer for my squadron commander when I was active duty in the Air Force and it just felt right to make him my team's commanding officer given how greatly I respected my CC then. He's one of those leaders that can reach across from the most junior member all the way up to a General, DV, or VIP. He's personable and fair but stern when need be. He's not in his full combat load out at the moment, so I can imagine him briefing his team or attending to more mundane matters at the moment ;) If you're wondering about the BDU shirt, I took a regular 21C 4 pocket woodland BDU top, removed the pockets, stitched the lower pockets on the breast at an angle (easier access!), and stitched the smaller top pockets to the sleeves at an angle (to be accessed when wearing a vest, LBE, armor, etc). The pic with the armor on is to give an idea of how the sleeve pockets work. Hope you enjoy! The team should be coming along soon once I get some gear from the archives! |
